In recent years, members of the different Gypsy communities have been taking ancestry DNA tests and getting surprising results. It started with a few Swiss and English Gypsies getting a surprise in their ancestry report: they had substantialJewish ancestry. This lead one our lead researchers, Dr.Douglas Schar (also Gypsy and Jewish) to make contact with the Reverend Lisardo Cano(also Gypsy and Jewish). The two decided to ancestry DNA test 75 Spanish Gypsies from 15 provinces to see what the outcome would be. All 75 came back as being primarily of Jewish ancestry. Since then, we have tested German, French, Swiss, Finnish, Slovakian, Czech, and Ukrainian Gypsies. The result has been the same. All individuals from these diverse Gypsy communities were of Jewish descent. We are continuing our ancestry DNA testing, working our way east. Shortly we will be testing Greek, Bulgarian, and Turkish Gypsies to see if they too are of Jewish ancestry. As we learn more, we will pass on more. Because we come from different countries and speak different langauges, we have attempted to provide all the articles in as many languages as possible.
